Four States Surgery Center first opened its doors in 1999 as a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center serving patients in the four-state region with orthopedic, ophthalmologic, pediatric, podiatry, plastic, and gynecological surgical services. The physicians of Missouri Eye Institute eventually invested in the facility in 2008 as they believed in the importance of providing quality eye surgical services to patients in the Four State region. On average, Four States Surgery Center performs complex ophthalmic surgery procedures on more than 2,000 patients per year. Some of the procedures performed at Four States Surgery Center include corneal transplant surgery, cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS), and eyelid surgery. Patients also can discuss with their physician and customize their cataract surgery to provide the clearest, most detailed vision possible that is uniquely tailored to the individual’s lifestyle.
